The problem is that many sixth grade students struggle with math and have low test scores. How can sixth grade students improve scores on their math tests?
I am very interested in the subject you are researching and it crosses over with my own that in studying the impacts of the Arts on student success. I originally was only focused on visual art, but I have opened it up to the positive contributions all of the arts ( music, theater, dance) offer. I would encourage you to read my blog for some resources that might be helpful to your research. http://www.connieartedu.tumblr.com/ I am going to look up a few you have highlighted. These are a couple recent articles that I just read over that might be of interest to you. http://www.ijea.org/v15n11/v15n11.pdf and http://www.ijea.org/v12n13/v12n13.pdf . I will be posting my summary of them to my blog later in the week.
I think you problem statement and questions are very specific, which is great. I wonder if you are finding enough research to help out with such a specific topic, or if your action research will help the most with that. I find that I keep getting broader in the articles I am looking at, and am a bit overwhelmed with what I am finding. Also I'd love an update with how your action research is going. Good work!
